The new housing exterior depicts a striking treehouse design, described as gorgeous and fitting for spring themes. It stands out as the priciest single item in the housing store at 4000 Hearthsteel, equivalent to about $40. Buying options include packs of 2500 Hearthsteel for $25 or 5000 for $50, making the purchase inefficient without extras. A bundle including this exterior and interior decor costs $75, the most expensive offering yet. Blizzard has long sold real-money cosmetics like mounts and pets, but this is the first new housing exterior post-launch. Previously, players had faction-locked choices: Alliance with a cozy human cottage and nature-themed elf house, Horde with a crude wooden hut or ornate red-and-gold elf structure. Horde players, such as a tauren shaman in a Horde neighborhood, expressed dissatisfaction, noting limited appealing options despite in-game plant decorations. The $40 price draws comparisons to three months of subscription fees or nearly the full Midnight expansion cost.
