Breguet has launched a new limited-edition Tradition Tourbillon 7047 to mark the 225th anniversary of its tourbillon invention. The platinum watch features a fusée-and-chain mechanism and is limited to 25 pieces worldwide.
The release coincides with the anniversary of the tourbillon patent, granted to Abraham-Louis Breguet on June 26, 1801, in Paris. The new reference 7047PT/YY/5ZU SL uses caliber 569, a manual-winding movement with a one-minute tourbillon and constant-force transmission.
The watch incorporates Bleu de France accents on the titanium tourbillon cage, enamel dial, and other components. It comes in a 41mm fluted platinum case with a hand-engraved secret signature.
Gregory Kissling, who became Breguet CEO in October 2024, discussed the development in a podcast episode released on the anniversary date. The Poinçon Breguet hallmark, introduced last year, certifies the watch's Swiss-made parts and performance standards.
