Cali Mayor Alejandro Eder announced that the city will make the former FES headquarters building available to president-elect Abelardo de la Espriella for official activities during his stays in the city.
The proposal follows the president-elect's decision to include Cali among the cities from which he will exercise government functions. The building, part of the architectural heritage of the capital of Valle del Cauca, will serve as a workspace during his visits.
Eder stated that the measure sends a message to the city and western Colombia. The Mayor's Office aims to facilitate coordination between the national government and the district administration through this infrastructure.
Cali also presented a priority projects agenda that includes the Tren de Cercanías, strengthened security capabilities and renewal of the Sistema Integrado de Transporte Masivo fleet.
