Capcom will discontinue the Deluxe Edition of Dragon's Dogma 2 along with several time-saving microtransactions starting June 24. The changes come ahead of the release of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
The developer announced the move in a statement on the game's social media channels. It cited the need to prepare for additional content and adjustments in an upcoming title update.
Items that will no longer be available for purchase from June 25 include the Dragon's Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition, A Boon for Adventurers - New Journey Pack, Art of Metamorphosis, Wakestone, and various quantities of Rift Crystals. Players who already own these items can continue to use them.
Dragon's Dogma 2, Explorer's Camping Kit, and Dragon's Dogma Music and Sound Collection will remain on sale. The base game will also receive a permanent discount.
The announcement follows the reveal of a Nintendo Switch 2 port for the upcoming Dark Arisen expansion, which launches on October 9. Capcom has outlined a two-part roadmap to address performance issues before the expansion arrives.
