Capcom announced a new expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2 during the June 9 Nintendo Direct. The expansion, titled Dark Arisen, will add a new snowy region and release on October 9. The game is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on the same date.
The announcement revealed that Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will introduce a new area in the north called the Norgan region. It features new characters, dungeons, weapons, and skills. The expansion will launch on October 9 for Nintendo Switch 2, where it is included with the port. On PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S it will be available as paid DLC. Capcom plans quality-of-life updates ahead of the release. Title Update 3.1 arrives on June 10 with improvements to fast travel, movement, and the save system. Additional updates are scheduled for the end of August. The original Dragon's Dogma 2 launched in 2024. It features a single-save system that limits options for players returning after long breaks. New Game+ mode and arena dungeons are intended to ease access to the new content.
