Coco Gauff has been handed a relatively easy path at Wimbledon that avoids top-10 seeds until the semifinals. The world number seven begins against Germany's Tamara Korpatsch.
Gauff, who has never advanced past the fourth round at the tournament, faces Korpatsch in the first round. She holds a strong record on grass and is favored to progress.
Potential opponents in later rounds include Anna Bondar, Ann Li and Belinda Bencic. Further ahead she could meet Jessica Pegula or Anastasia Potapova in the quarterfinals.
Aryna Sabalenka stands out as the most difficult semifinal opponent. Serena Williams was placed on the opposite side of the draw, making a final matchup possible but unlikely.
Gauff told The Tennis Channel she would welcome teaming up with Williams. The two have never played a tour-level match against each other.
