Singer and actor Dado Dolabella has been accused of causing a traffic accident at a drive-thru in São Paulo's south zone in the early hours of December 20, 2025, and fleeing the scene. He denied the claims in a social media video, stating the other driver was at fault and that he left to protect his daughter. Police are investigating, with witnesses identifying Dolabella as the driver.
In the early hours of December 20, 2025, around 0:40 a.m., a traffic accident occurred on Avenida Doutor Ricardo Jafet in the Ipiranga neighborhood, south zone of São Paulo. A rented Volkswagen Taos driven by singer Dado Dolabella collided with a delivery app driver's car. There were no injuries, but the app driver accuses Dolabella of exiting a fast-food drive-thru at high speed, striking the right side of his vehicle.
According to the police report filed with the Civil Police, the app driver, identified as 60-year-old Jurandir João de Brito, stated that Dolabella exited the car appearing intoxicated and questioned why he did not swerve. The situation escalated when Dolabella, per the victim, became agitated, reversed the Taos, knocking off the other car's bumper, and fled after the driver picked up the fallen piece. A restaurant customer witnessed the incident and identified Dolabella, noting he had taken photos with staff and customers beforehand. Military police who responded confirmed witnesses recognized the actor.
In a video posted on Instagram the same day, Dolabella offered a contrasting account. "Another car hit my car, probably he didn't see me. He got out blaming me and speaking loudly, and I asked him to lower his voice," he recounted. He explained he was with his teenage daughter from his relationship with Wanessa Camargo, and the other driver's aggressive reaction prompted him to leave for safety, heading to a police station to file a report. "Thank God the place has cameras and the truth will come out," he added.
Delegate André Moraes Castanho, who handled the report, chose not to officially identify Dolabella, listing the perpetrator as unknown to avoid linking names without evidence. The incident was recorded as fleeing the accident scene, and investigations continue to confirm the identity and clarify the facts, including review of security camera footage.
