He noted that Portugal and China have built a solid collaboration in wind, solar, and ocean-related industries. This partnership has driven robust bilateral trade growth, exceeding USD 9.2 billion in 2024.
Mendia added that China is shifting from low-cost exports to high-tech, high-quality products. To foster a more balanced relationship, Chinese companies are investing in factories in Europe.
