Jakob Palmqvist, police spokesperson, said: “We get an alert about a loud bang. We go there and can confirm that something has exploded.” The national bomb squad was called to the scene to assess the situation. Police evacuated residents in the immediate area, secured about a dozen houses, and cordoned off the neighborhood. They searched for a suspected perpetrator and interviewed witnesses.
No persons were injured. By 22:00 that evening, the police operation had concluded, and the barricades were lifted. Initially, police urged residents in the area to stay indoors during the investigation.
