Ferrari has unveiled the Luce, its first fully electric vehicle, at an event in Rome. The four-door five-seater sedan was co-designed by LoveFrom, the firm led by former Apple designer Jony Ive and Marc Newson.
The Luce features a glass-and-aluminum exterior and a base price of 550,000 euros, or about $640,000. It delivers 1,035 horsepower from four electric motors and a 122 kWh battery pack, with a targeted range of 330 miles under Europe's WLTP test. The car accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 192 mph in performance mode. Preorders begin in Italy by the end of May, with U.S. availability scheduled for next spring.
