Ferrari has unveiled the Luce, its first fully electric vehicle, at an event in Rome. The four-door five-seater sedan was co-designed by LoveFrom, the firm led by former Apple designer Jony Ive and Marc Newson.

The Luce features a glass-and-aluminum exterior and a base price of 550,000 euros, or about $640,000. It delivers 1,035 horsepower from four electric motors and a 122 kWh battery pack, with a targeted range of 330 miles under Europe's WLTP test. The car accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 192 mph in performance mode. Preorders begin in Italy by the end of May, with U.S. availability scheduled for next spring.

Was die Leute sagen

Initial reactions on X are predominantly skeptical and negative, focusing on the Luce's divisive design lacking Ferrari heritage, market value drop of billions, and questions about Jony Ive's choices without Steve Jobs; some users note it resembles an Apple product and is polarizing.
