A 75-year-old Georgia man will spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury convicted him of fatally shooting his neighbor during a dispute over dogs. Stanley Nathaniel Elliott received the sentence this week in Gwinnett County.
Elliott was found guilty of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole plus five additional years, according to the district attorney's office.
