New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart defended his decision to introduce President Donald Trump at a rally last week, saying he has no regrets and respects the office regardless of politics. His appearance drew criticism from teammate Abdul Carter and others, but the two resolved their differences after a private conversation.
Dart spoke on Friday after introducing Trump at the “Fighting For American Workers” event in Suffern, New York, which supported Rep. Mike Lawler. He cited his family’s military service and said the presidency deserves respect across party lines. “I’ve always loved this country,” Dart said. “I can honestly say that I love every single one of my teammates, regardless of politics.”
