"It is alleged that there were receipts accepted by the regent's side related to projects in Cilacap Regency, Central Java," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta on the same day.

During the raid, the KPK seized an amount of cash in rupiah as evidence. "Evidence secured in this hand-catching incident includes cash," said Budi Prasetyo. The amount of money is still being counted, and the KPK promises to provide further updates.

After initial questioning at the Banyumas Police Resort Headquarters in Purwokerto, the group departed for Jakarta by train on KA Purwojaya from Purwokerto Station at 9:37 PM Friday night. They arrived at the KPK Red and White Building around 2:35 AM Saturday, March 14, 2026. "From the 27 people secured at the location, 13 of them were brought to Jakarta," added Budi Prasetyo. The suspects were brought for intensive examination to determine legal status, with a 1 x 24-hour limit under the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). "Intensive examinations are currently ongoing," he said.

Cilacap Regency DPRD Secretary Basuki Priyo Nugroho visited the questioning site but claimed he did not meet the regent or KPK investigators.
