The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has secured 10 people in its 10th sting operation of 2025 in Bekasi Regency, West Java. The operation took place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 evening, including a search of Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang's office. This operation marks KPK's 10th OTT of 2025, following nine previous ones across various regions. Earlier, the first OTT occurred in March 2025 in Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra, targeting DPRD members and Public Works officials. The second was in June 2025 regarding bribery for road projects in North Sumatra. The third on July 7-8, 2025 in Jakarta, Kendari, and Makassar, concerning corruption in a hospital project in East Kolaka. The fourth on August 13, 2025 in Jakarta involved bribery in forest management partnerships. The fifth on August 20, 2025 implicated Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan in extortion over K3 certifications. The sixth on November 3, 2025 targeted Riau Governor Abdul Wahid for extortion in Riau Province. The seventh on November 7, 2025 captured Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko for bribery in positions and hospital projects. The eighth on December 9-10, 2025 against Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya for gratuities.
KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the suspects under the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). The Bekasi operation continued until 9:00 PM WIB, focusing on searching the regent's office. This case adds to KPK's efforts to combat corruption at the local government level throughout the year.
