A man in his mid-40s has died after being assaulted in Mölnlycke on Saturday evening. Police have classified the case as murder following his death on Sunday.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday evening. The man was awake and able to speak at the time but was taken by ambulance to hospital.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday police announced that the man had died from his injuries. Relatives have been notified.
Three suspected perpetrators in their 20s were seen running from the scene. No one has been arrested and there is no information about weapons. The case is classified as murder and police continue to search for the suspects.
– There were witnesses at the scene, and we will hear all persons, says police spokesperson Emelie Lundqvist.
