A man was injured on Tuesday afternoon when trapped under a heavy metal object at Ovako in Smedjebacken. He freed himself and was later taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
The alarm came shortly after 1 p.m. Ambulance and rescue services found the man able to speak with injuries to his lower body. The severity remains unknown.
Police are investigating the incident as causing bodily injury through a workplace accident. The aim is to check if work environment responsibility was breached.
The accident occurred on the company's premises in Smedjebacken.
