The team split the series, with no singles among their hits. This marks the first such occurrence for any team since at least 1900 over the opening two games.
Seattle Mariners players slugged six home runs, the most in MLB through these early games. Dominic Canzone hit two homers on Opening Day. Luke Raley homered in both contests. Cole Young, a 22-year-old second baseman, delivered a three-run homer during Friday's victory. Offseason acquisition Brendan Donovan added one homer and shared in the team's two doubles alongside Randy Arozarena. Leo Rivas contributed the lone triple. Notably absent from the hit column so far are Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodríguez, who led the Mariners in extra-base hits last season. Raleigh recorded 84 such hits in 2025, ranking third in the majors and the most by a Mariner since Ken Griffey Jr.'s 92 in 1998. The Mariners are the first team since at least 1900 to play their first two games without a single, and just the ninth overall in that span to have zero singles across any two-game stretch.
