Muse has reached No. 1 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart with its 10th studio album, The Wow! Signal. The release marks the band's eighth chart-topping album in the U.K.
The three-piece band, consisting of Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme, now stands level with Oasis, The Killers and Led Zeppelin, each with eight No. 1 albums.
Previous chart-toppers for the group include Absolution in 2004, Black Holes and Revelations in 2006, The Resistance in 2009, The 2nd Law in 2012, Drones in 2015, Simulation Theory in 2018 and Will of the People in 2022.
The band began its latest global tour on July 2 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is scheduled to perform arena shows in the U.K. and Europe later this year.
Other albums in the top five this week include Olivia Rodrigo at No. 2 and Michael Jackson at No. 3.
