TNA World Heavyweight Champion Nic Nemeth has voiced his support for a WWE World Championship feud between Seth Rollins and LA Knight. Speaking on Tuesday's Busted Open Radio, Nemeth said the matchup would elevate Knight as a serious contender. He added that he does not expect the promotion to pursue the angle.
Nemeth praised Rollins as the ideal opponent for Knight, noting that the champion has been with WWE consistently since day one. He said the story could highlight how Knight has earned his place over the past couple of years.
"Tell the real story, the real reason you're still here and the real reason Seth is the champ right now," Nemeth said on the show. He described Rollins as someone who can bring Knight into the top tier.
Despite his enthusiasm, Nemeth expressed doubt that WWE will move forward with Knight in a major role. He noted that the window for such a push may be closing if the company does not act soon.
Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Rollins at SummerSlam.
