Bully Ray commended WWE for its handling of Oba Femi's decision to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam instead of pursuing a world title opportunity.
Bully Ray discussed the segment on his "Busted Open" podcast, noting that the storyline made sense following Femi's King of the Ring victory. On the most recent episode of WWE Raw, Femi appeared positioned for a world title match at SummerSlam before Lesnar interrupted and attacked him.
Ray highlighted Paul Heyman's role in the setup, saying Heyman planted seeds effectively with Raw general manager Adam Pearce. He stated that the presentation convinced viewers why Femi opted for the Lesnar bout.
Ray added that he understood Femi's anger and desire to confront Lesnar immediately. Two other matches are already set for SummerSlam, including Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight title and Liv Morgan versus Iyo Sky for the Women's World Championship.
