In next week's Young and the Restless spoilers, continuing the Newman brothers' showdown with Matt Clark in Las Vegas, Nick Newman fatally overdoses on tainted fentanyl while the family is trapped at an abandoned gas station. Antagonist Matt Clark watches via surveillance cameras and laughs maniacally as Sharon, Noah, Adam, and Nick suffer.
Building on Matt Clark's Las Vegas ambushes—where he previously trapped Sharon and Noah and kidnapped the Newman brothers—danger escalates at an old abandoned gas station. Clark forces Sharon and Noah at gunpoint into a dusty garage, chaining them to a metal beam and threatening to kill one while the other watches.
Adam and Nick, tipped off by Riza Thompson (whom they promised millions to betray Clark), race to the scene. En route, a struggling Nick—experiencing withdrawals from cocaine and fentanyl sourced from Clark's dealer—takes drugs at Adam's urging to stay alert.
Clark lures the brothers into the garage, locks them inside with Sharon and Noah, and flees. Nick soon collapses from an overdose on the intentionally tainted fentanyl batch Clark provided. As Adam, Sharon, and Noah desperately try to help the trapped Nick, Clark monitors via car cameras, mocking the 'rich boy Newman' for the bad drugs.
Adam later returns disheveled to Chelsea Lawson at the hotel, distraught over Nick's dire condition and likely need for hospitalization.
