Örebro SK has started the 2026 Superettan with back-to-back clean sheets: a 1–0 win over Landskrona (see prior coverage) followed by a resilient 0–0 draw away at Öster. Center back John Stenberg and coach Rikard Norling praised the improved defensive solidity.
Coming off last season's 54 goals conceded in 30 matches and just three clean sheets, ÖSK has rebuilt its backline for newfound stability.
After the narrow home opener win against Landskrona, ÖSK traveled to Växjö and faced possession-dominant Öster, a former Allsvenskan side. Despite few clear chances created by the hosts, ÖSK defended deep and compactly to secure another shutout.
"The feeling is good. We've talked a lot about getting a good start," veteran center back John Stenberg told Nerikes Allehanda.
Coach Rikard Norling highlighted areas for improvement: "We need to twist our offense better than against Landskrona, but we can probably leave this match aside from that perspective." ÖSK remains unbeaten after two rounds, building momentum early in the season.
