President Prabowo Subianto stated he always involves professors in strategic government positions while opening the National Sarasehan event in Jakarta on Friday.
President Prabowo Subianto spoke before 2,600 academics and scientists at the Jakarta Convention Center. He stressed that nearly every key government sector includes professors to aid decision-making.
"If you observe, in almost every key government field I include professors in very decisive positions," Prabowo said.
Prabowo explained that a leader needs a reliable team, similar to a sports team requiring a good manager, coach, and full support. He also urged the academic community to find common ground for national progress.
The National Sarasehan KSTI runs from 26–28 June 2026 under the theme Strategy for Indonesia's Economic Independence and Welfare.
