President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating corruption while closing the Nahdlatul Ulama event in Bangkalan, East Java.
In his closing speech at the Nahdlatul Ulama national conference in Bangkalan on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, Prabowo said the government must be free of corruption.
He noted that the government has already closed around 240 loss-making state firms and plans to shut 700 to 800 in total to save trillions of rupiah.
Prabowo also highlighted annual state budget leaks of Rp2.500 trillion caused by under-invoicing and illegal mining.
The president stressed that these steps are needed so national wealth can be enjoyed evenly by the people in line with the constitution.
