Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka affirmed his commitment to improve management of the Free Nutritious Meals program and Merah Putih Village Cooperatives to keep them free from corruption.

Gibran made the statement at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Thursday, 18 June 2026, before departing for a work visit.

"We will ensure every rupiah is truly utilized well and, most importantly, free from corrupt practices," Gibran said.

He added that improving governance is essential to maintain public trust in the government's priority programs.

Gibran also appreciated constructive input from students regarding the programs.

He invited five students from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Universitas Sanata Dharma, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, and Institut Seni Budaya Indonesia to join the work visit to Nusa Tenggara Timur, Gorontalo, Papua Barat, Papua Tengah, and Papua Selatan scheduled for 18 to 21 June 2026.
