Prabowo removes Dadan Hindayana, appoints Nanik S Deyang to lead BGN

President Prabowo Subianto removed Dadan Hindayana as Head of the National Nutrition Agency along with two deputies on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Nanik S Deyang was appointed as the new head, accompanied by Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced the changes at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta. He said the move followed 1.5 years of monitoring and evaluation of the Free Nutritious Meals program.

"There are issues related to discipline in implementing SOPs, and discipline in governance," Prasetyo said. The government stressed that the MBG program must not be disrupted during the transition.

House Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad welcomed the decision. He deemed Nanik S Deyang suitable due to her active field monitoring and closure of non-compliant kitchens.

Prasetyo expressed hope that the new leadership would accelerate priority programs and improve BGN governance.
