Investigators at the Attorney General's Office have named Asep Yusuf Somantri the fourth suspect in alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meals program at the National Nutrition Agency.
Director of Investigation at the Attorney General's Office for Special Crimes Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi said Asep is suspected of giving money to former BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya after arranging Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi points.
Asep is also suspected of obtaining internal information on empty SPPG kitchen points and influencing the verification process for MBG program partners. He is now detained for 20 days at the Salemba Detention Center under the South Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation team has conducted searches at several locations including Jakarta and Bandung to find evidence. Seized items include documents and electronic devices that are being analyzed.
