Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.) attended a national consultation forum titled “Media Advancement for Narrative Building” held in Addis Ababa.
Prime Minister Abiy highlighted reforms in the media sector over the years of change, noting the release of imprisoned journalists, the end of jamming practices, and amendments to restrictive laws. He urged media outlets to report the truth, correct misguided narratives, and focus on building a common identity.
Representatives from National Broadcasting Corporate, Awash FM, Fana Media Corporation, Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, and Ethiopian Press Organization presented achievements in institutional capacity, content quality, and national reach.
