Roger Taylor announces new album and 2026 UK tour

Queen drummer Roger Taylor has revealed plans for his seventh solo album and a short UK tour later this year. The record, titled Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, will arrive on September 18 via Columbia Records. He has also released the lead single Come On Summer (It's Party Time).

The album marks Taylor's first solo effort since Outsider in 2021. It features contributions from longtime collaborator Joshua J. Macrae, members of his live band and The Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa. Taylor described an overarching theme in the record. 'There is a theme, you know, it's in the title really, what a beautiful world we live in, don't fuck it up,' he said. He cited issues including global violence, environmental damage and religious hatred as key inspirations. The accompanying tour begins September 21 at Newcastle O2 City Hall. Additional dates include stops in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Swansea. General ticket sales open June 17, with a pre-sale available to album pre-order customers starting June 15.
