Roger Taylor anuncia un nuevo álbum y una gira por el Reino Unido en 2026

El baterista de Queen, Roger Taylor, ha revelado sus planes para lanzar su séptimo álbum en solitario y una breve gira por el Reino Unido a finales de este año. El disco, titulado Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, llegará el 18 de septiembre a través de Columbia Records. También ha publicado el primer sencillo, Come On Summer (It's Party Time).

El álbum supone el primer trabajo en solitario de Taylor desde Outsider, de 2021. Cuenta con las colaboraciones de su habitual colaborador Joshua J. Macrae, miembros de su banda en directo y el coro The Ndlovu Youth Choir de Sudáfrica. Taylor describió un tema general en el disco. 'Hay un tema, ya sabes, está realmente en el título: qué mundo tan hermoso vivimos, no lo arruinemos', declaró. Citó problemas como la violencia global, el daño medioambiental y el odio religioso como fuentes de inspiración clave. La gira comienza el 21 de septiembre en el Newcastle O2 City Hall. Otras fechas incluyen paradas en Edimburgo, Birmingham, Mánchester, Londres y Swansea. La venta general de entradas comienza el 17 de junio, con una preventa disponible para quienes reserven el álbum a partir del 15 de junio.
