Skye P. Marshall spoke about her character Olympia's budding romance with Langston in Matlock season 2, episode 12. Langston is played by Marshall's real-life husband, Edwin Hodge. The episode introduces the attorney as a surprise spark after Olympia initially considers drinks with Remy.
In the episode, Olympia locks eyes with Langston, Remy's cousin, and feels an instant attraction, going weak in the knees. Marshall told TVLine, 'What makes Langston special is exactly what makes Edwin Hodge special. He is captivating. His smile does make me weak in my knees.' She recalled sneaking into Hodge's fitting and feeling reminiscent emotions on set when he appeared in character with a deeper voice and intense eye contact. 'When he came around that corner, honey, I was just like, 'There he goes,'' Marshall said. 'It was very reminiscent to when I first started dating him.'
