Digital Extremes has revealed details for the next major update to Soulframe, called Warsong. The update introduces a new questline, rideable mounts, and a fishing minigame.
The update features the Warsong Fable quest with Ben Starr voicing the antagonist Tempest Bayor. Players will learn more about their character's past and the nature of the Ode enemies.
A new corrupted Vadagar pact offers abilities tied to Wrath, Doom, and Death. Developers described the pact as an "edgelord pact" and called the update "our Spider-Man 3 for Soulframe."
Mounts include giant wolves and a corrupted horse. A "vegan" fishing activity lets players catch and release fish to match the game's nature themes.
The quest and mounts arrive sometime this fall. Players can join the Preludes test by signing up before July 12 for guaranteed access to the current build.
