Indie developer Alblune has released a major free update for its nonogram puzzle game Squeakross: Home Squeak Home, adding over 200 new puzzles and enhanced features. The update is available now on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Existing players can access it immediately, while newcomers benefit from a 20% discount on both platforms.
On February 6, 2026, from Montreal, Quebec, indie duo Alblune announced a free content update for Squeakross: Home Squeak Home, their popular nonogram puzzle game. The update, live at 1 PM EST on Steam and Nintendo Switch, introduces 236 new puzzles, including 118 catalogue entries and 118 'Nini's Challenges' for color and item customizations. This brings the total puzzle count to over 850.
Players solve these nonogram puzzles to unlock furniture and items for decorating a cozy rat residence, as part of the Home Squeak Home program managed by Nini. New additions include two furniture catalogues: 'Home Squeak Home #3' and 'The Spirit and the Mouse,' the latter an homage to Alblune's 2022 debut title. Decoration systems have been updated to allow furniture placement on grid lines and walls.
Quality-of-life improvements feature Night Mode enhancements for a muted experience, 13 new Steam achievements, and new stickers for customizing puzzle boards. The Rodent Editor lets players alter their furry friend's fur color, pattern, tail length, ear size, and wardrobe. An updated Cheesemail Inbox delivers messages from Nini, including community rodent photos and tips from local non-profits.
Accessibility remains strong with tutorials, Logic Assist mode to reveal mistakes, and options for puzzle difficulty, coloring, fonts, and volume. The game is currently 20% off on Steam and Nintendo Switch in North America until February 13, and in Europe on Switch from February 11 to 17. It also features in an exclusive Steam bundle with Logiart Grimoire and the 'Cozy Puzzles' bundle alongside titles like A Little To The Left.
Alblune, comprising Alexandre Stroukoff and Luka Lescuyer, focuses on non-violent, immersive games appealing to all ages, often featuring rodents.
