Following the January 3 fatal crash in Iztapalapa—where 52-year-old Lala deliveryman Roberto Hernández was hit from behind and dragged over a kilometer by a blue Honda City before dying at the scene—the prime suspect, identified as Gaby 'N' or Gaby Gómez, took evasive actions.
According to journalist Carlos Jiménez on C4 en Alerta, the woman drove the damaged vehicle home after the incident, collected personal documents, the circulation card, and other items, then urged her family to claim ignorance if questioned by police. The family initially denied knowledge of her whereabouts but later confirmed her visit to Mexico City authorities.
The car was located abandoned on January 5 in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, sans license plates and with attempted sticker removal. The suspect owns a motorcycle matching the victim's model and another vehicle. Unofficially, she is 43, worked at ISSSTE and UNAM, and holds degrees in Obstetric Nursing and Hospital Administration.
Prosecutors are analyzing security footage to trace her; she remains at large. The case, which prompted motorcyclist protests, continues to fuel public outrage over hit-and-runs.
