Warner Bros. has won the rights to adapt the internet urban legend Siren Head into a movie. Brian Duffield will direct and co-write the screenplay with Zach Cregger.
Created by artist Trevor Henderson, Siren Head features a mysterious predator with two sirens for a head and a long thin frame. The project comes after the success of similar online phenomena turned into films.
Duffield's previous work includes the sci-fi horror film No One Will Save You and the upcoming survival thriller Whalefall. Cregger recently directed the hit Weapons and wrote and directed Barbarian.
Cregger, Duffield, Roy Lee, Andrew Childs and Scott Glassgold are producing the movie. Henderson will serve as executive producer. The film is set to open in the fall.
