28 die in bus accident on road from Dessie to Addis Ababa

Police said 28 people died today when a bus traveling from Dessie to Addis Ababa crashed on the Harago road. Several others were injured.

The accident occurred on the Harago road between the towns of Dessie and Kombolcha. The public transport vehicle plunged into a gorge approximately 100 meters deep.

Police stated that several people suffered light and serious injuries in addition to the fatalities. Efforts are underway to transport the survivors to medical facilities.
