Ezekiel Kyama Nzyoki was charged on June 29, 2026, at Milimani Court for unauthorized entry into Parliament and damaging property worth Sh41 million during 2024 protests.
Nzyoki, a 22-year-old university student, faced two charges of unauthorized entry into the Parliament building and damaging property including plates, cups, CCTV cameras and communication equipment.
He denied the charges and stated that he alone could not destroy property of that value. His lawyers Gordon Ogada and Babu Owino requested reasonable bail.
Senior Magistrate Carolyne Mugo released him on Sh100,000 bail. His father paid the bail and the case will be mentioned in two weeks.
Nzyoki gained fame after a video of him entering Parliament and saying “Bwana Spika Sir” during Gen Z protests against the Finance Bill 2024.
