Franco Colapinto achieved his best Formula 1 result in nearly two years during the Miami Grand Prix weekend, finishing seventh in the main race after a series of upgrades transformed the Alpine car.
Colapinto qualified eighth and placed tenth in the sprint before improving to seventh overall in the grand prix. The Argentine driver outqualified teammate Pierre Gasly in both sessions and described the outing as his most perfect weekend since entering Formula 1. He credited a new lighter monocoque along with aerodynamic and suspension updates for helping him find better pace and consistency on a track he had never raced at before this season.
