Wahlberg, 20, recorded 37 points in 68 games with the Rochester Americans during the 2025-26 season. He added three assists in three Calder Cup Playoff games.
Selected by the Sabres in the second round of the 2023 NHL Draft, Wahlberg has tallied 71 points in 140 career AHL games with Rochester. The deal brings the Swedish forward, previously with Malmö, to the Ducks organization.
