The Spaniard, who joined in June 2023, transformed the Cherries into one of the Premier League's most aggressive pressing teams. Head coach Andoni Iraola notified AFC Bournemouth of his decision to leave after three seasons at the Vitality Stadium. His current contract expires in June, despite the club's efforts to extend it. Iraola joined from Rayo Vallecano in June 2023, guiding Bournemouth to 12th place in his debut season and ninth the following year. I feel this is the right moment for me to step away, but I will always carry fantastic memories of this club.” Chairman Bill Foley praised Iraola's impact: “Andoni has been instrumental in shaping the direction of this football club over the past three seasons.
