Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with interim head coach Igor Tudor by mutual consent after just 44 days and one point from five Premier League games. The club sit one point above the relegation zone with seven matches remaining. Tudor leaves following a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest and amid personal bereavement.
Tottenham Hotspur announced on Sunday that Igor Tudor has left his role as interim head coach, along with goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic and physical coach Riccardo Ragnacci. Tudor, who replaced Thomas Frank on February 14, managed 44 days at the club, securing only a 1-1 draw at Liverpool in the Premier League while suffering four losses, including a 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on March 22. The Croatian was informed of his father Mario's death immediately after that loss and attended the funeral in Croatia on Wednesday. Club officials expressed support for Tudor and his family during this difficult time, thanking him for his efforts. Spurs now face a critical fight to avoid relegation for the first time since 1977, sitting one point above third-bottom West Ham with seven games left, starting away at Sunderland on April 12. They have not won a Premier League match this calendar year. Reports indicate Tottenham are considering candidates including Sean Dyche as frontrunner, Roberto De Zerbi—who may join only after the season—and Adi Hutter. Club legends such as Glenn Hoddle, Harry Redknapp and Robbie Keane have also been discussed internally. Former Chelsea assistant Bruno Saltor is expected to oversee training during the international break until a new appointment is made.
