Authorities are investigating the murder of a minor in eastern Cali, allegedly linked to chacaleo incidents.
The crime took place in the eastern part of the city and has raised concern over violence affecting children and youth in the area.
The Personería of Cali rejected the incident and called for a swift clarification of the case. Personero Gerardo Mendoza Castrillón stated that it constitutes a tragedy and requested actions to prevent new episodes.
According to the official, an integral intervention is needed that includes education, opportunities and support for youth entrepreneurship.
Investigations continue to identify those responsible and advance the judicial process.
