Backrooms soundtrack set for vinyl release this summer

The soundtrack for the A24 horror film Backrooms will be pressed on vinyl and made available later this summer. The 2LP set features the original score and is available for pre-order now.

The A24 movie, which follows a psychiatrist searching for her client through parallel dimensions, earned $81.4 million in the US and $117.9 million globally during its opening weekend. The vinyl release includes music composed by director Kane Parsons and Edo Van Breemen. It is expected to ship in August. The film also featured a track from Boards of Canada called The Word Becomes Flesh from the album Inferno during the end credits. Kane Parsons has cited the band as an influence on his score.
