Bad Bunny teases Super Bowl halftime show in interview

Bad Bunny expressed enthusiasm for his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance during an Apple Music press conference, promising a fun party infused with his culture. He urged fans to focus on dancing rather than learning Spanish, while staying secretive about potential guests. This follows his historic Grammy win for a non-English album.

Bad Bunny spoke at the Apple Music Super Bowl LX halftime show press conference on Thursday, ahead of his performance this Sunday. The Latin star avoided spoilers, stating, “I want to bring to the stage, of course, a lot of my culture, but I don’t want to give any spoilers.” He described the show as “gonna be fun and it’s going to be a party,” emphasizing heartfelt dance: “People only have to worry about dance … I think there’s no better dance than the one that come from the heart.”

When announced as headliner last fall, Bad Bunny teased fans on Saturday Night Live, suggesting they learn Spanish in four months. However, he now advises, “It’s better if they learn to dance,” as told to Apple Music’s Ebro Darden and Zane Lowe.

Bad Bunny highlighted his gratitude for showcasing his album Debi Tirar Mas Fotos nationally. “I wasn’t looking for anything of this. I wasn’t looking for the Album of the Year at the Grammys, also at the Latin Grammys. I wasn’t looking to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show,” he said. “I was looking to connect with my roots, connect with my people more than ever, connect with myself, with my history, with my culture, and I did in a very honest way.”

His Super Bowl appearance marks the first Spanish-language halftime show, coming after his 2026 Grammy win for Album of the Year—the first for a non-English language album, awarded the previous Sunday. On surprise guests, Bad Bunny demurred: “You know, that’s something that I’m not gonna tell you.” He cheekily added, “Of course, I have a lot of guests. It’s gonna be my family, my friends, or all the Latino community around the world that support me.” He noted global appeal: “There’s a lot of people that love me around the world, not even just the Latinos. You just said that I’m Number One in China, right?”
