Barcelona have completed the transfer of Germany forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old joins as the club's second signing of the summer.
The deal is worth an initial £19 million, plus £6 million in performance-related add-ons. Dortmund will also receive a percentage of any future profit Barcelona make if Adeyemi is sold later.
Adeyemi arrived at Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2022 and scored 36 goals in 146 appearances over four seasons. He can play across all three forward positions and will add versatility to the attack.
Head coach Hansi Flick played a key role in the move, having given Adeyemi his senior Germany debut while in charge of the national team. Barcelona's other summer signing is England winger Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
The club is still expected to pursue another striker before the transfer window closes. Current attacking options include Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres.
