Bas opfordrer arbejdsmarkedets parter til at genoptage forhandlinger om arbejdstid

Arbejdsminister Bärbel Bas har opfordret fagforeninger og arbejdsgivere til at genoptage forhandlingerne om en reform af arbejdstiden. Hun kom med udmeldingen på DGB's forbundskongres.

Bas talte foran omkring 400 delegerede i Berlin. Hun bemærkede, at SPD i koalitionsaftalen var blevet enige om at erstatte den daglige maksimale arbejdstid med en ugentlig maksimumgrænse. Den strandede dialog mellem arbejdsmarkedets parter bør nu genstartes.

Ministeren udtalte ordret: "Hvis det stod til SPD og mig personligt, ville vi slet ikke røre ved spørgsmålet om arbejdstid – men det står i koalitionsaftalen." Hun ønskede ikke at lade noget være uprøvet for at opnå enighed.

Bas havde oprindeligt bebudet et lovudkast inden udgangen af juni. DGB's hovedkrav er fortsat "fingrene væk fra otte-timers-dagen".
