Indonesia's National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) has set the Zakat Fitrah amount for 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE at Rp50,000 per person, equivalent to 2.5 kilograms or 3.5 liters of premium rice. The decision was announced by Baznas Chairman KH Noor Achmad following an in-depth study of rice prices across various regions in Indonesia.
Indonesia's National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) has determined the Zakat Fitrah value for Ramadan 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE at Rp50,000 per person. The announcement was made by Baznas Chairman KH Noor Achmad on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Jakarta. This determination follows an in-depth study considering rice price developments across Indonesia.
"After an in-depth study and careful consideration, Baznas RI sets the Zakat Fitrah value at Rp50,000 per person and the fidyah amount at Rp65,000 per person per day in accordance with the Decision of the Baznas Chairman Number 14 of 2026," said Noor Achmad.
This amount is equivalent to 2.5 kilograms of rice or 3.5 liters of premium rice and serves as a uniform guideline for provincial Baznas, regency/city Baznas, and Zakat Amil Institutions (LAZ) in their respective areas. However, flexibility is allowed for adjustments if there are significant rice price differences in certain regions, as long as they comply with Islamic sharia and applicable regulations.
Zakat Fitrah can be paid from the start of Ramadan and no later than before the Idul Fitri prayer, while distribution to mustahik must occur no later than before the khatib ascends the pulpit. Noor Achmad emphasized that management will adhere to the 3A principles: Aman Syar’i (Sharia Safe), Aman Regulasi (Regulatory Safe), and Aman NKRI (National Safe), and will be distributed to the eight categories of mustahik as per sharia.
This decision also revokes the Baznas Chairman's Decision Number 14 of 2025, which previously applied to the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas. Thus, it is hoped that this year's Zakat Fitrah management will be more orderly, transparent, and have a real impact on the welfare of recipient communities.
