Bella Kay has announced her debut album, My Reckless Abandon, which is scheduled for release on July 12 via Atlantic Records. The 20-year-old singer-songwriter shared details about the 13-track project, which was executive produced by Idarose.
The album follows Kay's breakthrough single "iloveitiloveitiloveit," which was released in January. It will include that track along with new material exploring her past, experiences growing up, mental health, body issues, and a "will they, won't they" relationship dynamic.
Kay previously told Rolling Stone that the album reflects her tendency to choose fun but risky decisions. She also noted her collaboration with Idarose, who produced her recent three-track EP Are You Mad at Me, released last month.
The album arrives ahead of Kay's debut performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago this July. She is scheduled to tour with Noah Kahan in November across England and Ireland, and will open for Gracie Abrams next year in Washington, D.C., and Montreal.
