On January 14, 2026, Blackpink announced their upcoming mini album Deadline through social media, confirming a release date of February 27. This will be the group's third EP, following Square Up in 2018 and Kill This Love in 2019, and their first group release since the full-length Born Pink in 2022. The title matches their 2025 world tour, which began on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea—their first joint performance since 2023—and is set to conclude with shows in Hong Kong from January 24 to 26, preceded by dates in Tokyo starting January 16.
The album includes 'Jump,' released on July 11, 2025, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, extending Blackpink's record for most No. 1s by a female act on the latter.
